Review the space together, from different viewpoints
Last updated:
For architects, designers, clients, and on-site project teams
Bring the design discussion into the built space while keeping remote collaborators in the conversation. With a compatible panoramic camera on location, architects, designers, and clients can look around independently as they discuss room relationships, visible finishes, and punchlist questions. Use the call to clarify next steps, not to substitute for measured verification.
30 trial participant-minutes. No credit card required to start.

One live environment. Independent views. Each participant chooses where to look, without changing anyone else’s view.
Design questions rarely stop at the edge of a frame
A close-up can show a finish but hide the doorway, ceiling, or adjacent material that gives it context. A live panorama helps collaborators discuss those relationships together. Small defects, exact dimensions, and color accuracy still need appropriate reference images, measurements, or an on-site review.
Discuss how spaces connect
Review sightlines and room relationships from the camera’s actual position. Ask the host to move when the discussion calls for a different physical viewpoint.
Bring clients into a live review
Let clients explore the surrounding view while the architect explains the design. Guests join in a supported browser without installing an app.
Talk through punchlist questions
Identify areas that need closer attention and agree on follow-up. Record items, responsibilities, and acceptance decisions in your existing punchlist process.
Keep context and detail separate
Use the panorama for surrounding context, then request a suitable close-up or measured check for issues the live image cannot resolve.
Review what is built, not a reconstructed model
Use a compatible Insta360 X4 or X5 webcam setup that supplies a full equirectangular panorama to the browser, not a cropped or reframed flat image. Check firmware, USB mode, computer, browser, audio, and connection quality together before the session. The call shares a live camera view, not a BIM model, dimensional survey, or navigable 3D reconstruction. Lighting, video resolution, stitching, and display differences affect what reviewers can judge. Keep drawings, specifications, measurements, and formal sign-off in the team’s established review workflow.
From room to live 360° in three steps
- 1
Create a Room
Create your host account and set up a room from the dashboard. Schedule your meeting if you want to arrange it in advance.
- 2
Share the Link
Send the invitation to your participants. Guests use a supported browser without a CallPano account or app download. Test permissions and room access before the session.
- 3
Go Live in 360°
Test an Insta360 X4 or X5 through a compatible webcam mode that supplies full panoramic output, not just a flat webcam feed. Camera firmware, computer, and browser compatibility matter. Once the panorama is working, guests can look around independently.

Frequently asked questions
Can architects and clients choose separate viewing directions?
Yes. Each participant can pan and zoom within the shared live panorama without changing anyone else’s view. They remain at the camera’s physical position until the host moves it.
Can CallPano create and assign punchlist items?
This workflow is for live discussion, not a dedicated punchlist system. Keep item descriptions, photos, assignments, due dates, and completion records in your existing project tools.
Can I use the panorama to confirm dimensions or finish colors?
Do not rely on a panoramic video call for precise measurements or color matching. Lens effects, stitching, lighting, compression, and screens can change the appearance. Use measured checks and appropriate samples or reference images.
Is this a BIM viewer or a recorded 3D tour?
No. CallPano shares live video and conversation. Guests rotate and zoom their view from the current camera position; they do not walk through a model or access a reconstructed scene.
What does the person on location need?
Use a compatible Insta360 X4 or X5 webcam setup that supplies a full equirectangular panorama to the browser, not a cropped or reframed flat image. Check firmware, USB mode, computer, browser, audio, and connection quality together before the session. Review the X5 setup guide, and test the intended route and audio before inviting the wider team.
Does a remote review replace formal acceptance or an on-site visit?
Not automatically. The project team must decide which issues can be discussed remotely and which require inspection, testing, or formal approval. A live call does not itself certify compliance or completion.
