Bring remote stakeholders on the weekly progress walk
Last updated:
For site teams, owners, architects, and lenders
Keep owners, architects, and lenders in the weekly site conversation without coordinating every visit around travel. A host walks the construction site with a compatible panoramic camera while remote guests choose where to look independently. Discuss visible progress together, then follow up through your usual project records and review procedures.
30 trial participant-minutes. No credit card required to start.

One live environment. Independent views. Each participant chooses where to look, without changing anyone else’s view.
A progress update needs more than a chosen camera angle
Photos show selected moments, and a flat call makes everyone follow the same frame. A live panoramic walk gives remote stakeholders surrounding context while they ask questions. It can support a weekly update, but it does not establish quantities, verify concealed work, or replace required inspections.
Give owners context
Walk through accessible areas and discuss what has changed since the previous update. Guests can look toward adjacent work while staying in the conversation.
Bring architects into the discussion
Discuss visible interfaces, room relationships, and questions for the design team. Arrange a close-up or an on-site review when the panorama cannot resolve a detail.
Include lenders in a visual update
Invite a lender’s representative to discuss visible progress. Any draw review, certification, or evidence requirements remain part of their separate process.
Build a repeatable weekly route
Agree on the areas to visit and questions to cover before the call. Keep decisions and follow-up tasks in your existing project documentation.
Prepare the route as carefully as the connection
Use a compatible Insta360 X4 or X5 webcam setup that supplies a full equirectangular panorama to the browser, not a cropped or reframed flat image. Check firmware, USB mode, computer, browser, audio, and connection quality together before the session. Test reception along the planned route, not just at the site office. Follow site access and safety procedures, avoid restricted areas, and stop moving when discussion needs attention. Remote guests see the camera’s current surroundings; they cannot inspect behind finishes or move to another position themselves.
From room to live 360° in three steps
- 1
Create a Room
Create your host account and set up a room from the dashboard. Schedule your meeting if you want to arrange it in advance.
- 2
Share the Link
Send the invitation to your participants. Guests use a supported browser without a CallPano account or app download. Test permissions and room access before the session.
- 3
Go Live in 360°
Test an Insta360 X4 or X5 through a compatible webcam mode that supplies full panoramic output, not just a flat webcam feed. Camera firmware, computer, and browser compatibility matter. Once the panorama is working, guests can look around independently.

Frequently asked questions
Who can join a weekly construction progress walk?
Owners, architects, lenders, and other invited stakeholders can join through a guest link in a supported browser without an app download or a CallPano account. The host creates the account and room; plan and room access limits apply.
Can each stakeholder look at a different part of the site?
Yes. Each guest can pan and zoom independently within the live panorama from the camera’s current position. To show another location or a hidden angle, the person on site must move the camera safely.
Does a progress walk replace a site inspection or draw certification?
No. It supports a live visual discussion. It does not certify completion, validate payment applications, measure installed quantities, or replace inspections and evidence required by an owner, lender, or authority.
What equipment should the site host test?
Use a compatible Insta360 X4 or X5 webcam setup that supplies a full equirectangular panorama to the browser, not a cropped or reframed flat image. Check firmware, USB mode, computer, browser, audio, and connection quality together before the session. See the X5 setup guide. Check coverage along the route and have a plan for areas with poor reception.
Can we compare this week with last week?
You can revisit the same route and discuss your existing notes or photos. This workflow does not promise automatic progress tracking, a recorded archive, or a comparison overlay; maintain any required records in your project’s usual tools.
How should the host handle site safety during the walk?
Follow the site’s access rules and safety procedures. Choose an appropriate route, avoid entering hazards to satisfy a remote request, and pause in a safe location to discuss questions. A remote participant’s view is not a substitute for on-site awareness.
